At school parents, teachers, school workers and experts meet and work together in order to achieve a common goal that is children’s balanced growth.
Hospitality becomes very important because it is the ground where relationships will start and develop: for this reason, it can be used as a means to give parents practical support ( for example filling in a form, school registration etc.)
The starting point should be based on observation, experience, accepting the unexpected and tributing great attention to the simple gestures of the daily life; we should keep in mind the importance of the concept which can be summarized in the expression “less is more”. This education attitude has to be seen as a wealth and it is based on a pedagogical idea referred to as “the snail pedagogy”(G. Zavalloni, 2009).
Adding more things is replaced by valuing the essence of simple things, as B. Munari said and it becomes a starting point to create a shared strategy with families.
The intercultural education is not an optional and it gives richness to the teacher.
The intercultural education is based on attention to the relational competence.
Relational competence is the main skill for all the teachers.
