3.2 How to deal with cultural diversity
3.2.1 Introduction

In the European Council Document - dated May 23th 2018 - it is strongly suggested that each Member State should support actions in order to empower lifelong education so that everyone will be able to develop key skills. Member State has to:

-          Increase the level of language skills;

-          Encourage the development of skills related to the concept of nationality.

The school develops its educational activities in coherence with the principles of inclusion and integration of cultures, considering the acceptance of diversity as an essential value.

Families are the most important contest for the effective and cognitive development of children. Families are a very important resource because they bring different lifestyles, different cultures, different religions in the school and the teacher has to understand that is necessary to enhance those differences.

When children enter the kindergarten, parents become more responsible and conscious about their parental responsibilities (Indicazioni Nazionali per il Curricolo, 2012)
