Tale summary
The Cat and the Rooster is a Lithuanian folk tale. The main characters of the tale are an old man who had a cat and a rooster. The old man and the cat went out to whack, and told the rooster to sit on the steps and not to allow anyone. But a fox came, pretending to be frozen and wanting to carry the rooster for warming up. The rooster believed in the fox's trick and she took away the rooster. The cat heard the roar of the rooster, realized the problem and rescued the rooster along with the old man.
