Developing cognitive skills is important for a successful transition to primary school, but also social and emotional skills are equally important. In fact, often during early childhood, not so much attention is address to this. Having positive social and emotional skills such as cooperation, sharing, controlling information, problem solving and following directions, are fundamental during lifespan and can have an impact on how the children behave at home, at school and in the community. In brief, they can influence children’s chances for school success and healthy relationships.
