Practical Activity 1: What’s missing?

Description of the Practical Activity: This game allows parents to boost their kids’ minds. It is a fun memory activity that can be played using different objects, for example household objects or small toys. It can also be done at the restaurant, or while you are making dinner, with whatever you are using in that moment (forks, napkins, teaspoons etc.). Parents can also play with shapes, colours, numbers, letters (e.g. “What colour/shape/number is missing?”)

Practical Activity 2: Button sorting

Description of the Practical Activity: Buttons are the most functional one: they have different colours, sizes and shapes, and parents can help children to sort them in different ways. Buttons sorting allows to develop pre-math skills (shape and size recognition, recognize different quantities, logical thought, etc.), organization and grouping.

Practical Activity 3: The very hungry Caterpillar

Description of the Practical Activity: “Story sequencing” consist in arranging a series of pictures cards into a logical order to create a story from the beginning to end. This activity helps children to easily develop the concept that “one thing follows another one”.

Description of the Practical Activity: In this game, kids are “pizza chefs” and they pretend to make different pizzas using felt pizza toppings and other props.
