Tale summary
Caraiman was a very powerful wizard who had the ability to control the weather. He was very kind, and he liked to play his enchanted bagpipe, which would make flowers bloom and trees grow. He also had many children, but his children, however, were not as good as him. They used to fight over the fortune and some even got killed in a fight. They then decided one day to steal the magic bagpipe, but this decision caused a terrible storm, which killed them all. This saddened the good wizard, who turned to stone, along with his bagpipe. The rock formation which is said to be the wizard and his bagpipe is nowadays called Cimpoiul lui Caraiman (Caraiman's Bagpipe).
