Tale summary
The story is about a fierce dragon who lived in Romania, mercilessly slaying people's cattle. The first Roman emperor of Dacia, Traian, is said to have decided to banish the beast from here, and went to hunt it down. The beast, scared, ran away, leaving behind it a huge furrow-like trail, hence its name - Traian's Furrow.
