Tale summary
It is said that, once upon a time, Stephen the Great was roaming Vrancea's mountains with his soldiers, when they stopped to rest. Not wanting to be surprised by unseen enemies, the voivode decided to scout the surroundings by climbing to the top of the mountain. His soldiers helped him by digging stairs all the way to the top, hence the name of the place - Pietrele lui Vodă (The Voivode's Rocks).
