Tale summary
The story depicts Stephen the Great's royal court at Cotnari. The voivode is said to have had among his possessions (which included fertile lands, orchards, forests and other such natural resources) a very famous vineyard. So famous was this vineyard, in fact, and so good its grapes and the wine which was made from them, that even the neighbouring countries and the monks living on Mount Athos appreciated them.
