Un padre reunió a sus hijos que estaban peleando, les dio un gran paquete de palos, y les ordenó que rompieran el paquete. Los hijos se esforzaron y lucharon, pero ninguno pudo romper los palos. Luego le dio a cada hijo un palo y ordenó que lo rompieran, lo que hicieron con facilidad. La moraleja que compartía el padre es que la unión hace la fuerza.
