Tale summary
The fairy tale reflects Lithuanian national bread-making customs and continuity of work. The fairy tale character wolf gets to taste a bread from a benefactor man and decides that it is delicious and he would like to bake it himself, but the man explains to the wolf what is needed to be done for making the bread: to plow the soil, to sow the grain, to cut cereal, to harvest, to grind the flour, to mix the dough and to bake. The wolf, finding that bread is not so easy to make, decides that he can live without it.
